With summer approaching it is always useful to remind our clients about how to avoid potential pitfalls and delays when travelling with children. In particular, when parents are separated, it is imperative that the travelling parent have the appropriate documents and authorization, so they can avoid being turned away at the border or the airport. The Canadian Bar Association has a useful checklist HERE
which I recommend printing and providing to clients who have plans for travel.
